Reporting to the International Director – Organizational and
Governance Development, the INTERNATIONAL SAFETY &
SECURITY MANAGER will coordinate staff security across
ActionAid International to ensure and enhance the safety and
security of our staff and to minimize operational risk to ActionAid
International.
This will be achieved through the following key performance
areas:
Coordinate Safety, Security Policy and Strategic development
and review.
Advise country leadership on staff security issues and help in the
development of CP Security Plans.
Build and strengthen the network of Country Security Focal
Persons.
Management reporting on safety and security risks to Directors
and Board and working with the Director Security Working
Group.
Capacity building of regional and country safety networks and
focal persons through training and networking
Monitor the implementation of safety standards and compliance
auditing especially in high risk countries reporting to the Audit
and Risk Committee
Establish external relations with global security networks and
peer INGO's to ensure best practices and strategies.
Crisis communication and safety and security incident
management.
Staff security communication and awareness raising across the
organization
Work with the emergencies team to ensure rapid and safe
deployment of staff.
