My client an international maritime security company based in Poole are now seeking a number of additional personnel for transits across the Indian Ocean.
The transits will probably start either in the Mediterranean via Arabian Sea to Bay of Bengal or visa versa with some of the transits will be armed as a rule, but some will be unarmed depending the clients needs and requirements at the time.
Prior to deployment, the client will be meeting all individuals at their offices in Poole to brief individuals on their company processes, procedures and systems as well as to vet individuals.
To be eligible for these roles, you will need the following qualifications and experience:-
• Completed Ships Security Officer course and have completed a number of transits preferably in the Indian Ocean or Arabian Sea.
• Hold a current STCW 95
• Seaman's discharge book
• Hold a current ENG1 Medical
• Holding a valid CRB check will also be highly desirable
• Have experience in ships transits
The ideal candidates for these roles will be ex Royal Marine or Royal Navy, but personnel from the Army who have recent transit experience will also be considered.
The pay rates for these roles will be £250 per day while aboard vessels and £200 per day travelling pay.
