Security Supervisor – Papua New Guinea

The Project:

The PNG project Komo, is a challenging, culturally sensitive and located remotely in central Papua New Guinea. The project operates under the joint venture of Esso Highlands Limited, Oil Search Limited (OSL), Santos, Nippon Oil, Mineral Resource Development Company (MRDC) and Eda Oil. Our scope is to develope a new airfield in the central highlands of PNG, and surrounding upgrades of excisting roads.

The Role:

The position will be based on a six weeks on, 2 weeks off (FIFO- camp roster) for an immediate commencement.

You will demonstrate:

  • Formal relevant qualifications
  • The ability coupled with experience to work in a third world, remote location and a developing country.
  • Ex Military, law enforcement highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Security, Risk Management and Evacuation Procedures.
  • Ability to train, Lead and motivate others, as a transition agent.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and Multicultural and Indigenous workforce, coupled with the understanding of cultural differences.

Selection Criteria:

  • We can only accept applications for those able to and willing to work on a 6/2 off roster within a developing and challenging environement.
  • Able to pass a full employment medical, and demonstrate safe working practices in general and project safety plan.
  • Provide strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable effective communications with all site personnel and PNG nationals.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to work constructively in a team environment.

Appointment will be project salaried, plus an attractive site allowance. The project operates a dry camp environment. East coast applications are preferred.
