Operational Manager: Security Services - South Africa

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Operational Management Centre Operators and Operational Security Officers;
• Manage security contractors:
 assisting with selecting tenderers;
 managing the compilation of job training;
 conducting performance evaluations, etc;
• Access control:
 Managing problems that may arise;
• Incident/management/crime prevention activities:
 conducting crime investigations;
 risk analysis;
 reporting on defective/amending emergency plans;
 compiling a contingency plan;
 deploying operational manpower and reviewing events after the occurrence of an incident;
• Traffic control:
 applying the Traffic Ordinance;
 issuing fines and warnings;
 assisting with special events;
 investigating accidents and liaising with emergency services personnel;
• Liaison:
 bearing the University’s image in mind, liaising with personnel, students, residence councils and the public;
• Special activities:
 identifying needs in collaboration with role players;
