To protect people, secure physical and intellectual assets by managing security risks within the company. Required Outputs: Functional • Liaise with the National Key Points Regulator, South African Police Services, National Intelligence Agency, Disaster Management and other Emergency Services. • Arrange meetings and act and secretary on Joint Planning Committee. • Attend Cutler Sub - Security Meetings. • Identify training needs and development of security personnel in accordance with Training Standards set by NKP Regulator. • Provides guidelines to the owner with regard to minimum security standards. • Develop a Security Policy and Plan. • Conduct a physical security appreciation annually in order to determine security risks. • Represent Natcos on all National Key Points external audits (evaluations). • Keep abreast with any legislation changes which impacts on security i.e. National Key Points Act 102 of 1980, Criminal Procedures Act 51 of 1977, Firearms Control act 60 of 2000, Private Security Industry Regulators Authority Act 56 of 2001, etc. • General administrative duties. General • To control the physical security of the installation • Ensure that adequate security measures are in place and that they are effective. • Ensure that Regulations and guidelines (directives) issued by the National Key Points Regulator are in place and complied with. • To conduct regular security risk assessments. • Being responsible to the “owner” for the overall control of all security officers employed at the Key Point. • Ensure a disciplined workforce and take corrective action where necessary in terms of the disciplinary code and procedures. • Ensure implementation and monitoring of security measures at the installation in order to eliminate risks. • Being the Responsible Person in terms of the Firearms Control Act No. 60 of 2000, ensure that all the legal requirements of the Act and its Regulations are complied with on a daily basis. • Investigate all security related occurrences, incidents to finalisation and where necessary report them to relevant authorities. • Manage all security assets and report defects thereof. | |||||||||
Job Requirements | |||||||||
• National Diploma, Degree or Certificate (relevant discipline) (Must) • National Key Point Certified (currently or past) or 3 years experience auditing National Key Points for designated bodies (e.g. SAPS) (Must) • Grade 12, or equivalent (Must) • Drivers License (Must) • 5 Years Security Supervisory experience (must) • Previous exposure to the following meetings / bodies (wish) - Joint Planning Committee (JPC) - Security Officers Liaison Forum (SOLF) - Local Security Investigators Forum | |||||||||
