Responsibilities
The Standing Police Capacity (SPC) is a UN Police mechanism for starting up police components in new UN peace operations as well as assisting existing operations on a continual basis. Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader (2) of the (SPC), and subsequently the Chief of the SPC, in line with the decisions and guidelines, the UN Police Reform Adviser will be responsible for providing a wide range of expert advisory and assistance activities on law enforcement reform matters relevant to supporting new and existing police components in UN peace operations.
