Logistics and Security Manager - Pakistan

Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe / Diakonie Emergency Aid is a German non-governmental organisation providing worldwide humanitarian aid. Diakonie has been working in Pakistan since the earthquake in 2005. Having implemented relief, recovery and rehabilitation operations in Kashmir (AJK) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe has started its emergency relief and early-recovery operations in KPK and Punjab after the devastating floods in Pakistan. For our flood-relief-programme we are seeking a Logistics and Security Manager.

Main tasks:

A. Developing, revising and implementing a logistics management system for Diakonie’s (DKH) own operations in Islamabad and regional offices
Give technical support according to sphere standards, DKH standards and donor requirements
Define a transport and vehicle management policy and procedure to include vehicle specifications, lease or purchase requirements, maintenance, licenses, insurance, log books, etc.
Ensure drivers assignments, training, roles and responsibilities, scheduling, etc.
Revise and implement procurement procedures, quality assurance, stock management and control for DKH own operations, in collaboration with finance and administration department where applicable
Ensure proper overall maintenance of expat houses and office facilities (leases, utilities, repairs, upgrades, etc)
Revise or develop an asset and inventory system and records as required
If applicable, handle freights from 3rd countries to Pakistan and project locations

B. Mission Security Management
Revise the security plan, including all procedures, risks indicators, evacuation plans, etc.
Ensure that security equipments are in place and functional
