Location: Kyrgyzstan
For an exploration of the feasibility of a project in Kyrgyzstan, Nonviolent Peaceforce is inviting tenders for two consultancy positions.
The exploration will probably start in the second half of April, with a duration of 2 to 3 weeks. The exploratory report will have to be submitted within 2 weeks after the return from the field.
Contracting with the selected candidate will be finalised only once the concerned grant financing the exploration is confirmed.
Desired Qualifications
(1) First-hand knowledge of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia
(2) Excellent knowledge of conflict analysis tools
(3) Fluency in Russian and English
(4) Experience in the strategies and activities of nonviolent civilian peace-keeping and civilian protection – previous work for Nonviolent Peaceforce or a comparable INGO is an asset.
(5) Good Project management skills (including budgeting, logistics)
(6) Good diplomatic skills
(7) Good writing skills
All these qualifications must be within the team but not necessary one consultant needs to meet them all. We especially encourage applications from candidates that meet criteria number 1 and/or number 4.
