Supervisory Security Specialist - Belgium

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The following KSA's are mandatory and must be added to the application in a separate WORD document: 1. At least eight (8) years experience of dealing with security topics including counter-terrorism and cooperation projects in the public sector. 2. Knowledge of the Alliance¿s political and military consultative processes and key security policy and the fight against terrorism issues. 3. Experience in major contemporary international political, politico-military and defense questions, and ability to analyze and assess these issues and prepare products under time pressure. 4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with excellent presentational and communication skills. 5. Basic working knowledge of French.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.
One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.
Must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).
Demonstrated work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Foreign education must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered for this position. Please include this information in your resume.
GS-12 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. There is no substitution of education for experience at this level.
