The location for this position is OCONUS in Baghdad, Iraq and Kabul, Afghanistan

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the DOS weapons program officer from DS/PSP/DEAV for all work-related technical activities
Maintains open communications with DS/PSP/DEAV Armory for all work-related technical activities
Repairs and maintains all task order weapons, as outlined in SOW -- Attachment Eight, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance

Responsible for the installation of special technical equipment for DOS weapons, including, but not limited to:
USG-provided optical devices
Flashlights
Grenade launchers
Night vision equipment
Laser sights

QUALIFICATIONS:
US citizen
Valid U.S driver's license and passport
Level three (3) English language proficiency
Must possess the following valid certifications from the manufacturer or other source of instruction approved by DS/PSP/DEAV on all weapons identified in the task order:
Colt M4
Sig-Sauer P228/229
Glock 19 Pistol
Remington 870 Shotgun
Remington M24/700 Sniper Rifle
FN Manufacturing M240 Machine Gun
FN Manufacturing M249 Squad Automatic Weapon
Knight's Armament Company SR-25 Sniper Rifle
Colt M203 Grenade Launcher
Must possess a minimum of four (4) years of military (MOS 2111, 45 Bravo, or equivalent) or law enforcement armorer experience
A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been earned overseas
Must possess the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
Attend and successfully complete all required training
Attend and successfully complete armorer in-brief and orientation conducted by DS/PSP/DEAV
Qualify with the Glock-19 and M4, re-qualifying as required by the task order
Obtain and maintain the required security clearance certification as identified in the task order
Complete the WPS Physical Readiness Test at the 50% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
Must possess the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order in specific.
