General description of the position
Under the supervision of the Security Head of Unit from HQ, you will provide a support in security and in safety management to Action contre la Faim's missions in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
You will contribution in to defining our access strategy and the implementation of ACF security management policy on the missions, which will include the development of the missions’ capacities.
Main responsabilities
At HQ level, your main activities will be:
Participate in the achievement of the security and safety service action plan
Develop and update the security management tools
Capitalize thematic and geopolitical information gathered during field work
At Field level, you will be mainly mobilized for technical support, assessment and opening of areas, context analysis and access strategy, development of missions’ capacity, gap filling of security coordinator (when needed). Your main responsabilities are:
Strengthen the security management system on missions
Design ACF humanitarian access strategy
Provide technical support for the design and implementation of security management tools
Carry out security management assessments / audits
Support the security management of teams
Promote security culture within missions
Specific objectives (named Terms of References - ToR) will be defined before each departure, and they will depend on the context of the mission.
Do you fit the requested profile ?
You hold a master's degreee on International cooperation, Political Science or Security Studies and you have a general background in Logistics, with a Specialized Master Degree in development and/or international cooperation.
You have at least 5 year of professional experience, two of which in a security coordination or advisor position in an INGO.
French & English (written and spoken) are mandatory.
Specific conditions / Salary
Remuneration and benefits:
fixed-term contract (6 months) – starting as soon as possible
Monthly gross salary from 1 805 € to 2 305 € (upon experience).
+ 15% of monthly gross salary as roving allowance
+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
Perdiem and COLA during deployments according to each mission (paid in cash on the field)
Transportation and accommodation:
Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.
Individual room in guesthouse covered during each deployments
Leaves and RnR:
25 days of paid leaves per year
RnR days (the exact amount depends on each field deployment duration)
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance
