Job Introduction:

Looking for competent Ordnance managers with specific field skills in IED and EOD.

Due to the type of contract issued, short notice on deployment is expected.

Role Responsibility:

Training Host Country Nationals in demining techniques and skills which may involve practical in field activity in clearance to remove/reduce the IED/EOD risk.

Based in Iraq - although other opportunities are expected. The conditions of work vary, from Hotel accommodation to field deployment

Specific responsibilities are not confined to:
Training and mentoring Staff
Responsible for identifying all types of military munitions, including possible fuses and their condition, armed and unarmed.
Reconnoiter and classify UXO and Discarded Military Munitions (DMM).
Excavate subsurface UXO and DMM and move and/or consolidate materials that have been determined safe to move by UXO supervisor.
May be part of a demolition and disposal team and assist in the inspection various explosive ordnance.
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
Detonate and demolish hazardous munitions, pyrotechnics and outdated explosives
Work with cutting-edge technology to remotely disable unsafe ordnance
Support law enforcement agencies

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess and be able to provide evidence of the following - or have demonstrated specialisation in a single field:

CV must be submitted – minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hardship environment.

Minimum 3 years of experience as primary IED operator (Technical Field Manager, Team Leader or equivalent)

Minimum EOD level 3+ qualification and IED certification certificates must be provided in English, or translated to English



EOD Qualification and demonstrable experience.
IED Qualification and demonstrable experience.
Training experience.
Experience of Community liaison with local authorities and population.
Experience of Non-Technical and Technical survey in rural and urbanised area.
Battle Area Clearance in rural and urbanised area.
Experience of Intervention on ERW including render safe procedures using explosive if possible.
The ability to work in conflict or post conflict environment.
Medically and physically fit for duty in 'hardship' environments.
Driving licence.
Identify and move explosive hazards (ie. UXO, IED, improvised landmines, booby traps, etc).
