Deputy Operations Manager – Security , Iraq

Location: Iraq

Primary Function


Responsible for assisting the Operations Manager (OM) in providing leadership, management, direction and execution of task order activities to include the planning and implementation of installation access control, static perimeter security, roving security patrols, intrusion detection system monitoring in support of a US Government Facility. Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.

Essential Functions
Assist the Operations Manager (OM) in the daily operational functions
Manages all aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing and assessing performance of assigned security personnel
Ensures all task order security personnel abide by the contract mandated standards of conduct
On a short-term basis, and only in the absence of the OM or other OM qualified personnel, may assume the on-site role and responsibilities of the OM in an acting capacity
Coordinating with and receiving concurrence of the customer on team staffing issues
Evaluating personnel to ensure that all positions/labor categories are filled with qualified personnel and to identify personnel for promotion

Job Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen
Possession of level three (3) language proficiency in the language(s) of the labor force is preferred

Must possess one of the following:

1. A Master’s degree from an accredited institution and four (4) years of applicable work experience

a. A minimum of three (3) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force

b. A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been protective security experience

c. A minimum of one (1) year of this experience must have been supervisory experience

2. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and seven (7) years of applicable work experience

a. A minimum of five (5) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force

b. A minimum of one (2) years of this experience must have been protective security experience

c. A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been supervisory experience

3. An Associate’s degree and ten (10) years of applicable work experience

a. A minimum of seven (7) years of this experience must have been work in planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government security-type programs, specifically personal protection, emergency response team, or guard force

b. A minimum of one (3) years of this experience must have been protective security experience

c. A minimum of three (3) years of this experience must have been supervisory experience


Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed high threat protective services that require similar skills


Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of hiring


Must possess a minimum of twelve (12) additional months of protective security experience under a similar US Government contract


A minimum of three (3) months of this experience must have been as a shift lead leader

Must have a valid US Passport
Must have a current US driver's license
Must be able to pass a physical fitness agility test and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the task order
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening; position is also subject to random drug screening throughout the course of employment
If prior US Military, must have an honorable discharge
Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and possess the criteria to be awarded and maintain the necessary US-issued security clearance
Must be able to pass a medical physical approving candidate for overseas work
Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable task order
Attend and successfully complete the protective security specialist (PSS) training course, guard training course, or both as required by the task order
Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun, re-qualifying as required by the task order


Attend and successfully complete the required supervisory training course
