SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a highly qualified Forensics Advisors and Instructors to support our government customer’s mission to work with foreign governments to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Provide long-term rule of law assistance centered on fundamental institutional reform, establishment of training academies, and standing up of anti- corruption, and other vetted investigative and police units
• Provide specialized training and expert guidance to host country counterparts; assess training needs and requirements for effective implementation
• Engage with foreign partners and help shape their policies and actions in the security sector
• Help foreign partners build and sustain the capacity and effectiveness of legitimate institutions to provide security, safety, and justice for their people
• Enable foreign partners to contribute to efforts that address common security challenges
• Provide policy, operations analysis, recommendations, and reports as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS








• Medical: Ability to pass a pre-deployment medical screening prior to work
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoJ Public Trust clearance
• Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in field relevant to forensic science; Master’s degree is preferred
• Experience: The candidate will have 11-15 years of progressively increasing forensic laboratory or crime scene experience and certified by an appropriate body
• Experience conducting examinations on serious crimes, preparing reports and testifying as an expert witness
• Demonstrated experience as a first line supervisor of forensic examiners or as a technical leader
• Experience conducting internal audits or serving as an outside inspector of laboratories for accreditation purposes
• Experience teaching or providing training to, but not limited to, new analysts, investigators, university students or other practicing forensic scientists
• Must have a thorough understanding of all the instruments and equipment relevant to their area of expertise to include maintenance and validation requirements
• Must have demonstrated regular continuing education in forensic science throughout their career
• Fluency in a foreign language is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Performance of this contract will be accomplished at various locations around the world, as directed by individual task orders. Our customer operates in about 40 countries worldwide
• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to work in various locations, including austere environments
