Security Officer
Responsible for personnel engaged in the Physical Security function for the organization that includes monitoring the systems associated with the flow of personnel and vehicular traffic, personnel/visitor security clearances, management of loss prevention and detection services, and responsible for security inspections. Under direct supervision, performs duties by following established procedures. Has a knowledge of security methods and doctrines. Has a fundamental knowledge of security systems and apparatuses. Supports others in standard security actions in agreement with customary processes to fulfill the organization's security principles. Must have unarmed force protection experience (This position trains and manages an ECP guard force) and obtain a Secret clearance.
Entry level job, the skills required for this job are typically acquired by the completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Additional requirements:
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 14 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
It should be understood that employment may be located in potentially dangerous areas, including combat or war zones. This might involve the possibility of suffering harm by dangerous forces or friendly fire. These dangers are inherent to working conditions in a dangerous environment.
