The main purpose of the position is to establish our brand of business in providing integrated security solutions based on our customer needs. This position reports directly to the General Manager. The primary function is to co-ordinate the provision of contractual and ad hoc security services within this portfolio, in compliance with legislation, company policies and procedures, to ensure achievement of budgeted financial targets.


The Ideal Candidate:

The successful incumbent must have a proven track record in risk and security management with 2-3 years’ experience within a mining service orientated environment. The role requires a minimum grade 12 / matric qualification, PSIRA Grade A and Code 08 driver’s licence.

The candidate must further have strong language and written proficiency and hold a proven track record in performance, sound investigations and a clean disciplinary record at management level. A relevant tertiary qualification or degree will be advantageous for suitability within the business environment, as well as maintaining interpersonal relations and financial aspects of the business.

Sound interpersonal skills (written and spoken) are required to operate independently. Sound Health and Safety services in experience will provide operational control.

In additions it is advantageous to have sound background of criminal investigations. It is important to have intermediate computer literacy sills with certification in MS office package. The candidate must be suitable in personality traits to achieve day to day operational transactional activities in profile, staff matters and customer relations and in terms of handling all labour relations matters and engagement with employees.

Minimum standards should include relevant accreditations and certifications that will be assessed with relevant competencies and specific skills in line with customer prerogative and job profile.

*Health and Safety experience;

*First Aid and Fire Fighting (advantageous to be Level 2) and valid for current year;

*Investigations skills course qualification with sound experience in report writing;



The successful candidate must hold sound product knowledge and experience in security access and egress control systems. It will further be an inherent requirement of the job and site environment to be physically fit and maintain health requirements that must be accompanied by a medical clearance.

The successful incumbent is a self starter that has the ability to prioritize activities, take the lead in investigations, event and incident management in maintaining company policies, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation. The role incorporates a high level of interpersonal relations and proficiency in communicating at all levels, conduct meetings and understanding the role to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.
