INL Personnel Security Specialist

Summary

Provide Industrial Security support in all areas of Personnel and Information Security. Ensure proper Personnel Security procedures are followed in accordance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives, company policies, and government regulations and directives. Work closely with HR to integrate clearance processes into the hiring process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all security operations including personnel clearance processing , tracking, education, reporting, debriefs and any other duties administratively in support of INL as dictated by the FSO
Daily use of personnel clearance data systems
JPAS and E-qip reviewing forms for completeness and accuracy.
Administer the fingerprinting process for candidates.
Coach candidates on the mitigation of issues with their paperwork or the various parts of the clearance process
Exercise superior customer service skills, discretion, confidentiality and candor in communicating with applicants on all aspects of the process to include all types of sensitive information
Maintain classified materials receipt, logging, control, and dissemination.

Create and maintain employee security documentation in accordance with government and company guidelines
Process requests for reinstatement of clearances or periodic re-investigations at five and ten years as applicable
Maintain accountability of classified government-furnished information and equipment.
Participate in and perform inspections and audits.
Enhance and participate in an active INL security awareness and education programs as directed.
Assure compliance with all government and company security regulations.
Oversee all duties assigned to the Security Clerk front desk for INL facility.
Must be willing to relocate. - Perform routine OCONUS travel and within CONUS travel as required.
Position requires a U.S. Department of State Secret Clearance
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED.

PREFERRED:

A.A./A.S or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Excellent Telephone Skills, Verbal Communication, Listening, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Organization, Informing Others, Handles Pressure, Phone Skills, Supply Management.
Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and adhere to all safety requirements for self and facility.
Demonstrate a commitment to company values and ethics.
PREFERRED:
Prior Department of State INL support experience
Experience in processing DOD and DOS SF-85, SF-86, periodic reinvestigations, MRPTs and No Objections in accordance with federal regulations and contractual requirements
