Senior Safety and Liaison Officer

Essential Job Duties/Scope Of Work :
Act as the Security Focal Point and manage risks for IMC Turkey’s Gaziantep South Support office
Effective management of the safety and movement of all IMC Turkey staff between field site locations
Conduct security related administrative tasks; create and distribute ID cards, staff timesheets etc
To provide security briefings within IMC Gaziantep office specific meetings and for new arrivals to IMC Turkey
To provide regular and adhoc security reports
To provide security risk analysis and provide risk assessments within Gaziantep province and all Kurdish areas within northern Syria
Act as liaison with key focal points inside Kurdish areas within northern Syria
Provide cover and assistance to other security staff within the security department as necessary
Other duties as requested by the Country Security Manager and Field Site Coordinator

Work Experience:
A native Arabic and Kurdish speaker
Knowledge of Turkish language
Advanced English language
University education
A minimum of 2 years experience working within safety/security for an INGO based in Turkey
Highly familiar with the security and geographical environment in in northern Syria and especially within Kurdish areas
Advanced skills at using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to multitask and work with little supervision
