Job Description
CAGs will perform access control functions at all vehicle and pedestrian entrances to the site on a 24/7 basis throughout the construction or project period. These activities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all persons, packages, bags, boxes, crates, vehicles, or other means of introducing material onto the construction site or into secure areas are inspected for questionable or prohibited items
• Denying introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other items as specified by the Accrediting Official (AO) or designee
• Conducting random inspections of all site areas to ensure no prohibited materials have been brought onto the site. All suspicious materials or incidents shall be brought to the attention of t he Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)or Site Security Manager (SSM)
• Monitoring, observing, and interacting with the construction workers as they accomplish their various construction tasks to preclude the introduction of electronic, electrical, mechanical, or hostile surveillance monitoring devices into finished construction
• Surveilling the perimeter and internal secure areas through the use of government-furnished closed circuit television (CCTV) systems and other intrusion detection systems (IDS)
• Roving the construction site after hours, per the SSM’S orders, to protect the integrity of Controlled Access Areas (CAA) and their materials
• Maintaining and operating the Secure Storage Area (SSA) established by the construction company within the construction site footprint where they will store construction materials and equipment that will be used in the SCIF area. lAW ICD/ICS 705

Position Criteria/Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Capable of reading and speaking English
• Ability to write legible, concise reports in English
• Preferably three years of military experience as a Military Policeman or Marine Security Guard, or three years of experience as a security watch stander whose duties included the use of alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray devices and closed circuit television systems
• Valid U.S. passport

Training Requirements
• Must complete the OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Training
• Must complete required training for CAGs, the (SE-620) Cleared American Guard Course sponsored by Department of State

Physical Requirements
Ability to:
• Stand for 8 hours
• Work outdoors in summer heat and winter cold
• Bend forward at the waist and knees
• Walk up to one half mile across uneven surfaces of a construction site
• Lift up to 20 pounds
