Description

Our Flight Operations Team has an opening for a Cabin Crew Member in Afghanistan. This is a rotational position in Afghanistan with a 28 day on and 28 day off rotation. Travel to and from Afghanistan is completed on your Paid Break Time.

The Cabin Crew Member will be responsible for the comfort, welfare and safety of our passengers in performing all cabin services in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as all FAA regulations. They are responsible for ensuring that all cargo

is loaded and secured in accordance with company policies and aircraft flight manuals. In an emergency, the Cabin Crew Member will be the primary person who will control the passenger cabin and will work with the pilot in command (PIC) and second in command

(SIC) to ensure safe and orderly conduct of flight operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Attend daily pre and post flight mission briefings.


Responsible to the PIC for all operational matters.


Responsible for ensuring personal flight and duty times are maintained within limitations.


Assist PIC in preflight of cabin area, aircraft emergency equipment, aircraft first aid kit and “go bag.” Pre-flight requirements ensures all aircraft safety equipment is installed, functional and in proper working order.


As delegated by the PIC, they will brief all passengers on safety operations and will ensure that Helicopter Safety Briefing Cards are located above each passenger seat and available for reference by the passengers. Briefing will include location and operationof emergency equipment.


Responsible for obtaining actual weight of passengers, baggage and cargo to the maximum extent possible for weight & balance and load manifest. In the event actual weight cannot be obtained, interrogated/solicited weight will be used in accordance with AirCarrier Operations Manual.


Loading, securing and unloading cargo. In the event of Hazardous Material Cargo is presented for transport will ensure PIC is notified and provided necessary HAZMAT documentation.


Assist PIC/SIC with load manifest preparation as required and/or requested.


Maintain safety and security of cabin during normal procedures, emergency procedures and passenger emergency evacuation.


If the aircraft is scheduled for extended overwater flight, they will ensure the proper number of life vests and life rafts are onboard, functional and in proper working order. Ensures passengers are briefed on water egress, the location and how to operatethe aircraft extended overwater survival equipment.


Other duties as assigned, delegated and/or requested by the PIC.

Requirements

Without delay, the identified candidate must be capable of securing a Secret Security Clearance as well as successfully receiving medical approval from the Department of Defense to work in Afghanistan.


Possess and maintain a valid U.S. Passport. Must have a US Passport at the time of application.


Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Citizen


Knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations Part 91 and 135, preferred.


Understanding of aircraft weight and balance and limitations, preferred.


Experience operating in active war theater is preferred.


Qualified and current in first aid and survival techniques, preferred.


Assignment involves flight in unpressurized aircraft. Crew member must be physically qualified and aeronautically adaptable to perform all job functions under flight conditions.


Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, create focus in areas of poor scope definition or where there are issues, and be solution oriented but committed to consistency and process


Ability to work under minimal direction while keeping within the limitations of designated authorities and abilities while frequently exercising regular use of good judgment
