Armed Mid-Level Tactical/Operational Intelligence Analyst

Job Description:

PAE is seeking motivated individuals who want the opportunity to support the War on Terror in Afghanistan.

Global Analysis and Operations currently has an opening for a Mid-level Tactical/Operational Intelligence Analyst. The Tactical/Operational Intelligence Analyst functions as a part of an intelligence analytical team of military and/or DoD civilian analysts in support of CJ2 analytical requirements.

The Tactical/Operational Intelligence Analyst is responsible for analysis, reporting, databasing and dissemination of Afghanistan measures of stability which include security, governance and development.

They will also conduct Human Terrain Analysis, preparation of provincial and district assessments and Campaign and Mission Analysis briefings and annexes.

Additionally, Tactical/Operational Intelligence Analyst provide High Value Individual Targeting products, Extremist and Regional Threat Network Nodal Analysis.

Duties also include preparation of Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Assessment Metrics such as daily imagery intelligence (IMINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) products to gauge the effectiveness of collection operations.

Analysts provide analysis of 24/7 Indications & Warning and all-source exploitation of documents and media from detainees.

Additionally, the Tactical/Operational Intelligence Analyst is responsible for researching, developing, presenting and publishing all-source intelligence products at the tactical, operational and strategic level related to Military actions, insurgent activities, economic and political activities, and threats to regional stability as part of an overall analytical team.

This position provides input to multiple Government requirements and objectives, assists with the analysis and production of various intelligence products, and supplies analytical support for senior Military leaders.

The Intelligence Analyst shall attend meetings and conduct comprehensive research on complex topics independently or as a part of a larger analytical effort focusing on current events and long-term trends that could impact the Government’s mission.

This position is responsible for intelligence analysis related to counter-terrorism, HUMINT, SIGINT, counterintelligence, Afghanistan and South West Asia regional issues, political/military analysis and support to targeting.

Required Education/Skills:

Education - Associates Degree OR four years relevant intelligence analyst experience

Experience - Five years analytical experience at the tactical/operational level within DoD or equivalent Government agencies and requires former MOS 35F, 350F, 18F, 35D, 34A, or equivalent such as USMC- 0211 Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) Specialist, 0231 Intelligence Specialist, U.S. Navy- Navy Intelligence Specialist, USAF- 1N7X1 Human Intelligence Specialist, 1N7X1 Intelligence Fusion Analyst

Clearance - TS/SCI

Special skills or qualifications -


Proficient in utilizing standard computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development


Requires submission of an unclassified analytical writing sample on Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, AI Qaeda , the Taliban , the Haqqani Network, ISIS, or the HIG (250 word minimum) with resume


Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills


Be capable of effectively operating as a member of an analytical team from a remote location in support of CJOA-A requirements ·


Briefing skills


Deployed experience


Able to qualify with the M4 rifle and M9 pistol using basic military marksmanship standards


Able to carry a 60-lb pack in the field and the M4 rifle for self defense

Desired Education/Skills:


Education - Bachelor's Degree


Experience in either CT, Afghanistan/SWA regional issues, HUMINT, Cl or military analysis
