Essential Job Duties:

Cubic Global Defense is seeking a recently retired, Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel, with a strong background in multi functional logistics. Primary duties will support the development and institutionalization of logistic policies, procedures and doctrine for the Georgian Armed Forces (GAF). Additionally the candidate will have some knowledge of tactical Medical support and facilities / installation management. The individual must work at all levels within the GAF in order to fully integrate logistic and medical systems development and implementation with other defense planning and management systems – personnel management, force planning, resource management and modernization programs.

Job Details:
Work will require a comprehensive background in all aspects of logistic doctrine including the preparation of implementing actions to support force-wide integration. Considerable work may also be required in developing, coordinating and presenting logistic training programs in areas such as supply, services, transportation, maintenance and medical support. An essential requirement of such work is the capacity to tailor complex U.S. principles to the specific needs of the GAF. Duties will also include support to coordinating U.S. sponsored Mobile Training Teams funded by the Office of Defense Cooperation.



Primary duties will involve interaction at all levels within the GAF, from Ministry/General Staff level with respect to policy and resource issues to the lowest tactical levels where the measurable impacts of a maturing support system will be most evident. Responsibilities will include assisting and mentoring commanders and staffs at the General Staff and subordinate levels in implementing required policies, procedures and implementation action plans. Additional duties will involve providing advice and support to improve infrastructure planning, development of standard (best practices) policies and improve annual budget funding for routine maintenance and repair and troop medical support.



Mental/Physical Requirements:

Must be able to travel unassisted to US and foreign locations. Must be able to move, carry, and operate personal computer equipment and related material. Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal, to include the ability to impart complex concepts in a simple, understandable manner, conduct briefings for senior officers, conduct effective instruction, develop/write concepts, policies, information papers, standard operating procedures and programs of instruction. Maturity, patience, the ability to convey complex information is essential as well as the capability to successfully teach and mentor counterparts.



Applicant selected must be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.



Education/Experience Requirements:

Experienced logistic officer of at the grade of LTC (Ret.) is required; COL (Ret.) highly desired. CGSC-level graduation is required with SSC graduation desirable. Extensive experience at tactical level (up to Division) desired. Former command of a logistic battalion desired. Individual must be current in logistic doctrine, training and operations. Joint experience is desired in order to advise on the synchronization of GAF with NATO and partner nations.
