Position Summary

-Patrol resort property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all resort assets. Answer house calls, assist guests and employees with respect to safety, security and resort operations. Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons. Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports. Control access to the property by continuous patrol checks of the entire property, to include the perimeter, all pools and office buildings.

-Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to property/company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the company.

-Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for the property, by the company, and/or through training or certification.

-Respond to all guests’ and employee’s questions, complaints, comments, and requests in a courteous and professional manner, or refer to management if necessary.

-Follow up on requests to ensure adequate completion. Communicate with other departments to solicit their assistance when necessary to accomplish company and departmental goals.

-Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.

-Prepares logs or reports as required for the department/company; writes or types reports or enters information in a computer using standard grammar; inspects security control logs and takes action as required. Monitor alarm systems, closed circuit television (cctv) systems and communicate by radio with mobile units to attend alarms.
