Job Summary
The Material Coordinator/Driver coordinates and expedites the flow of assigned program equipment, material, parts, and assemblies within or between locations in accordance with customer requirements. Reviews production schedules and confers with management to determine requirements and establish delivery sequences to locations according to management priorities.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
Provide assistance in the daily scheduling of equipment, customer advice, pick-up and delivery service, and other matters pertaining to production control.
Pick-up and deliver customer’s equipment as scheduled by the recall system.
Receive, process, and track equipment within assigned area to ensure data is available to management for timely scheduling of calibration and/or repairs.
Coordinate with customers to ensure technicians have required information to perform efficient calibration and/or repair action.
Monitor and control movement of equipment and material, compile reports of material moved and to what locations, and move or transport equipment and material from one location to another, using hand truck or industrial truck/van.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
(Additional knowledge/skills requirements may vary by contract or assignment.)
Knowledge of Microsoft computer programs such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Ability to speak and write fluently in English.
Basic knowledge to operate general office equipment.
Experience & Education
(Additional experience/education requirements may vary by contract or assignment.)
High school degree or equivalent.
Three (3) years of driving experience preferably delivering cargo.
Driver’s license for country of assignment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
80/20 Office & Outside Environments.
Ability to lift/pull 20 lbs., frequent lifting, stooping and standing as needed.
Travel
Local travel for deliveries.
