Summary Job

CARE International has been working in Chad since 1974, where over time, we have established humanitarian programs and developments in the service of the poorest communities on the margins of society. Referring to the current Strategic Plan (2014-2017), CARE works with Chad refugee populations from neighboring countries (CAR, Nigeria, Niger and South Sudan) and Chadian communities through its 6 offices on the ground in Eastern (Biltine), South (Gore, Maro, Haraze) and Western (Bol, Bagasola) of the country. A Coordination Office (representation and support) is the capital N'Djamena.

Our interventions in the country focus primarily on strengthening the resilience of women and girls at risk, response to emergencies and humanitarian crises. The priority investment CARE Chad headed our impact group consisting of the primary agents of change - women, girls and their communities. The / The Specialist in logistics and security will assume overall management of logistics, purchasing and security activities in Chad. He / she will build, strengthen and lead a team of staff to ensure that the logistics team provides the most efficient logistical support for the country program.

The / The logistics and security specialist defines and implements technical support strategies / logistics for Chad CARE program, ensuring the relevance and consistency of logistics operations, adequacy of provided resources and compliance with CARE Canada and the policy and procedures of donors. He / she also ensures proper working conditions at the mission and the proper functioning of the IT infrastructure.

He / she will promote and support the safety and security of field programs, staff, offices and housing. He / she will also update the security plan CARE Chad, according to the organization's policies and procedures.
