Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Detect explosive materials and devices and otherwise provide PRS support. With support of working dog, conduct searches of packages and vehicles, regardless of the physical size or method of packaging, or the size of the vehicles (e.g., long beds of trucks, tractor trailers, etc.).
Provide emergency response in situations such as security alerts, civil disturbances, suspected or actual criminal violations and/or other life threatening situations.
Summon professional assistance and render First Responder First Aid to individuals who become injured or ill.
Explosive ordnance detection.
Prevent the unauthorized introduction of explosive devices or matter.
Protect life and property.
Maintain order.
Maintain dog’s training records to meet contract requirements.
Perform other functions as directed by competent authority

Experience: 
Two years of service as a Military or Law Enforcement K9 Handler;
One (1) additional year of security-related experience;
Able to recognize K9 diseases, be familiar with hygiene requirements, and know the physical condition of the 
K-9

Education:  
Graduate form a state, county, city law enforcement academy and is State certified or military equivalent

Certificates: 
Certified in accordance with North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA), national/State/provincial military or law enforcement agency standards as a working K9 Handler

Security Clearance: 
Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
