Position Summary
The Physical Security Officer Lead (PSO) operates directly under the Installation Operations Manager, and is responsible for supervising FN Access Control Monitors and Sgt’s daily operations to accomplish contractual requirements in the Area Support Group Kuwait (ASG-KU) area of responsibility in order to protect the lives and property of ASG-KU and its partners. The PSO does this by enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Physical Security regulations. Duties include guard force management, validation of force protection and security measures. He/she will also perform other tasks as directed by the Installation Operations management team that may fall outside this position summary as directed



MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

Force Protection equipment (Barriers, ion Scanners, Backscatter X-Ray machines, Under-Vehicle, Surveillance systems and Mobile x-Ray Scanning Machines).

Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS)



WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is conducted outdoors or in established infrastructure, with the exposure to extreme climactic conditions.



PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Must be able to pass the Contract Security Guard Physical Fitness Assessment IAW AR 190-56, The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program.




Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:

Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field required.



Experience:
Have written clear concise police/security reports (who, what, when, where and why).
Experience using Radio procedures for emergency situations.
Experience using Interpersonal communication skills to obtain information and deescalate hostile situations.
Have an Active Secret Security Clearance
Have a valid US Passport.
Have a current and valid US Driver’s License
Complete all USG required and supplied training and certification prior to work performance.
Be able to work shifts, overtime, and weekends, as required; wear the CSF uniform and maintain a high standard of appearance and hygiene; and be able to wear chemical-protection equipment
Experience conducting security guard force management in the Middle East

Skills:
Must have experience writing police, or private security reports
Must be able to use Microsoft office at the basic level.
Must be able to work under pressure while conducting tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Must be able to communicate using Interpersonal communication skills to include conflict resolution.
Understand cultural and diversity issues
Must be able to accomplish objectives.



SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision over a medium sized Foreign National Static Guard Force


Clearance Level required at Start Date: Secret

Travel: Yes, 5 % of the Time
