The Protection Security Detail (PSD) Deputy Team Leader (DTL) will command high and low profile PSD missions in Iraq, under the command of the Team Leader.
The post holder is responsible for the smooth running of the PSD by applying sound leadership principles and judgement at all times.
This is an armed role.
Supports the PSD TL in the command and control of the PSD, ensures that team members are adequately informed, skilled, equipped and supervised to conduct their duties safely, in compliance with the Host Nation’s rules & regulations, G4S policies, Handbook, Service Agreement and SOPs, contractual obligations as well as the Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Take the full responsibilities of a Team Leader when on leave or if deemed necessary. Ensures that G4S Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed at all times.
Submits the required documentation (BOS) in a timely manner for the approval of PSD missions in accordance to G4S SOPs and Host Nation’s rules & regulations.
Gathers and analyse information/ intelligence required for the planning, rehearsal and safe execution of a PSD mission.
Liaise/ meet with the client/s in an appropriate manner.
Prepare and conduct briefings to PSD team members, clients/s, and management during the planning and execution of a PSD mission.
Reports all incidents according to the Host Nation’s rules and regulations, G4S policies and SOPs.
Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Identifies and resolve issues and conflicts within the PSD; where appropriate escalate these to TL for visibility.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise PSD team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Assists the TL to plan, coordinate, and administrate the day to day team administration and training.
Accurately compile and on time submits the required PSD team returns.
Conduct performance evaluations as per G4S directives and mentor all personnel through formal channels.
Execute any other tasks commensurate to the PSD DTL’s role as deemed appropriate by the TL, Project Manager or Operations Manager.

Standard of English Language:
Functional written and oral English Skills
Proven Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, PPT)
Military / Armed Police Experience:
Minimum of 5 years full time service
Must have left armed forces with good conduct
At least one 6 month tour
At least 1 year of commercial Iraq PSC experience in PSD TL or DTL role or recent (within two years) operational leadership experience at at least Section level in Combat / Combat Support arms unit (Infantry, Armour, Artillery, Engineers, Para, SF or Military Police)

FPOS(I) / MIRA
JNCO Course / Level III Instructor
Clean Driving Licence
Recognised CP Course Qualification
