Engility is seeking several Corrections Advisors to join our Team. This work will be performed in various countries with a focus in countries to include; Bangladesh, Macedonia, Bosnia, Albania, Philippines, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Kenya, Nigeria, Kosovo, Tanzania, Jordan, Tunisia, Mali, Indonesia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Chad.

The International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) works with foreign governments to develop professional and transparent law enforcement institutions that protect human rights, combat corruption, and reduce the threat of transnational crime and terrorism.
ICITAP is searching for experienced wardens, assistant wardens, chiefs of security, majors, or other senior level corrections managers to serve as a corrections advisors worldwide. The corrections advisors will deliver specialized correctional training and mentoring to host country corrections systems. They will provide a broad range of advice and technical assistance on corrections assistance issues.
Corrections Advisor duties and responsibilities:
Advisors shall demonstrate the ability to innovatively plan, lead and direct individuals, as well as efficiently and effectively manage a dynamic array of corrections development programs designed to discourage violent extremist activity in host country jails and prisons.
Advisors shall possess a keen understanding of all aspects of corrections operations that will include, but is not limited to detention and/or prison facility leadership and supervision, management and custody of high risk security individuals, special segregation housing, crafting of internal and external security procedures and features, administration functions, logistics, facilities maintenance, intelligence, internal audits and standards, communication functions, staff training and prisoner transportation.
Advisors shall be adept in executing treatment programs and services such as prisoner classification (managing high risk detainees/inmates), case management services process planning to include educational and vocational training, cognitive behavioral change and social work programs, as well as employment readiness, medical and dietary program administration.
Advisors shall demonstrate a clear, yet compliant capability to adhere to the U.N. Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners.
The Advisor must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format and manage professional work relationships across organizational levels. Additionally, the Advisor must have the ability to manage cross-culturally as he/she will be required to establish effective working relationships with host country officials at various levels of government.
Advisors shall provide continuous and measureable program updates and results associated with assigned work performed in host country correctional facilities as required by his/her assigned supervisor and other national and/or international stakeholders.
Advisors shall have the demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive correctional assistance plans with a clear and direct focus of countering violent extremist behavior in host country jails and prisons.
Advisors shall develop, implement and manage processes for the sustainability of programs and projects devised to aid in countering extremist behavior in host country jails and prisons.
Advisors will evaluate existing host country correctional policy and procedures and make appropriate recommendations where needed to host country officials.
Advisors will plan and organize Department of Justice, Department of State, or Department of Defense programs with host country officials on corrections development and training.
Advisors shall exhibit a fundamental understanding of human behavior especially as associated with individuals who have been detained or incarcerated long-term.
Required Qualifications:
Must hold a current or be eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance
Service as a Warden or assistant warden, security chief, major, or other senior level correctional manager
15-20 years managing in jail and/or prisons
Comprehensive understanding of jail and prison security practices
Comprehensive understanding of prison treatment programs
Extensive re-entry and reintegration experience
Must be willing to travel Europe, SE Asia and or Africa
Desired Qualifications:
International corrections experience
