Working Overseas – The HUMINT Support Specialist will prepare counterintelligence analytical products in support of operations as well as other tasks which enhance staff support to the CJ2X and its mission in support of OEF and its related role in the ISAF.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

HUMINT Support Specialist will assist the HOC in producing Operation support activities, preparation, dissemination of information related to Doctrine, Policy, Plans, Targeting, Detainees, HUMINT Systems Support, HUMINT Coordination Support, Manage tasking notices, Operational Planning Team Support,OPORD/EXORD/DEPORD reviews and recommendations/input, HUMINT Briefings to DoD, Military Service and Command Senior Staff, Military Source Operations guidance recommendations, CONOPS review and input, Conduct Mobile Training Teams in ISAF/USFOR-A AOR, Provide guidance on HUMINTtraining, develop/process and track HUMINT Collection Requirements (HCR’s), Review Joint Publications and provide input as needed, prepare HUMINT technical papers, prepare HUMINT capability statements, review recruitment packages, develop operational support packages, prepare HUMINT System technical papers, document HUMINT System requirements, provide HUMINT System support with user and technical representatives, prepare recommendations for Standard Operating Procedures, develop and maintain internet world wide web pages.

The HUMINT Support Specialist will be supervised by the Senior HUMINT Support Specialist. The contractor will work with the HOC, regional command HOC and other HUMINT elements in support of ISAF/USFOR-A collection priorities. The HUMINT Support Specialist will review the data collected and cross-reference intelligence collection priorities and plans when necessary. The HUMINT Support Specialist will conduct other intelligence supporting activities related to intelligence support operations, only with appropriate Government authorization and oversight. The HUMINT Support Specialist will assist in the preparation of theatre-level counterintelligence estimate by reviewing HUMINT reports from base clusters, regional command AOR and theater. The HUMINT Support Specialist will prepare HUMINT Summary Reports in accordance with theater guidance and the Army regulations listed.

The HUMINT Support Specialist will protect classified information and material in accordance with established theater policy and AR 640-5 and AR 380-5. The HUMINT Support Specialist will assist in identifying and processing national CI/HUMINT reporting which can be legally shared with NATO and ISAF partners ensuring that foreign disclosure guidance as contained in NDP – 1 is followed. The HUMINT Support Specialist will maintain information system security by following established USFOR A and US government IT INFOCON procedures and policies as well as those NATO and ISAF regulations. The HUMINT Support Specialist is responsible for HUMINT support and capable of intelligence analysis related to counterinsurgent, Afghanistan and southwest Asia regional issues in support of HUMINT activities, especially as they related to collection efforts in support of the ISAF/USFOR-A Commander’s collection requirements. The HUMINT Support Specialist will provide appropriate analytical support as directed by the senior analyst or Senior Advisor to the CJ2X. The HUMINT Support Specialist will produce Source-Directed Requirements (SDR) for collection entities within the Afghanistan area of operation. The HUMINT Support Specialist will process documents for analysis provided to them or screen documents for intelligence value as requested. The HUMINT Support Specialist will determine the disposition of source related documents for data basing, destruction or passage to other intelligence entities with the concurrence of the HOC, CHARC or CICA. The HUMINT Support Specialist will assist in or facilitate the exploitation of documents and other media. The HUMINT Support Specialist will apply principles of predictive analysis within the framework of assigned responsibilities seeking to identify trends, patterns or activities that will support more HUMINT operations and collection efforts with the goal of providing actionable intelligence; or that will support future plans and operations. The HUMINT Support Specialist will support development of short-mid- and long-term collection plans by identifying intelligence gaps and shortfalls within the scope of work assigned to collection platforms supporting the theater; and then coordinate with the CJ2X collection manager to generate appropriate time sensitive collection requirements, theater or national CI collection requirements; theater or national HUMINT collection requirements; ad hoc collection requirements; and source directed requirements in support of the larger CI and HUMINT enterprise within the theater. The HUMINT Support Specialist will provide reporting feedback related to reports submitted and offer informal assessments of the report, its format, its contents and usefulness. This reporting will be done an informal basis, unless circumstances require a more formal report – as directed by the Senior Analyst, Senior CI/HUMINT Advisor or the CJ2X.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred.
· Desired Requirements: 4 years of HUMINT support experience required ·
· Other: The candidate must have an active Secret clearance. Overseas travel is required.
