SALARY: ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR): FSN-4 NOT-ORDINARILY RESIDENT (NOR): FP-AA* *Final grade/step for NORs will be determined by Washington. 

ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS (See Appendix A for definition) 

MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. The U.S. Mission in Israel is seeing eligible and qualified applicants for the position of GUARDS. 


These positions are based in the Local Guard Force at the U.S. Embassy. The incumbents perform guard services around the clock to safeguard U.S. government property and personnel. 


Qualifications:
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified. 

Education
Completion of secondary school is required. 

Experience
Completion of full mandatory IDF combat 07 grade of military service is required. 

Language
Basic written and spoken English (level II) and good working knowledge of Hebrew (level III). This will be tested. 

Skills & Abilities
Must have a current valid Israeli driver’s license. 
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Israeli weapons permit. 
Must meet and maintain physical fitness standards for the position.
