Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities)
Objective:


The British Embassy has a vacancy for a Female Security Officer to join the Security Team. We strongly
encourage applications from candidates who have a high professional approach to the work and are willing to constantly learn.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing security of staff, visitors and premises at various locations as directed.
Liaising closely with security staff in other Missions within the complex.
Carrying out a physical check of female visitors.
Carrying out searches of all mail and any delivered items entering the complex.
Working within the Security Team Control Room, which includes operating and monitoring CCTV cameras.

Essential qualifications and experience


Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience in similar role.
Communication Skills: Fluent in English and Arabic.
Can work as an individual and within a team.
Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.



Candidates will undergo and should pass the following:
Core Skills Test in English payable at the candidates’ expense
Multi-stage fitness test “bleep test” (subject to regular fitness testing throughout the year).

Working Hours and Remuneration:

Conditioned working hours are 48 hours gross per week. The Embassy is committed to ensuring that you are able to maintain a suitable work-life balance.

The British Embassy in Beirut offers an attractive working environment and remuneration package of 1339 $ for this role.

The successful candidate will be subject to a 90 day probationary period. The appointment is also subject to satisfactory local and UK security clearances.
