Executive Security Chauffeur and Support

The current pool form a part of the wider security team within Property, Procurement and Security Division. It currently comprises of five pool chauffeurs based at Threadneedle Street who drive the Governors and Senior Executive Team, plus provide security operational cover when required.

Brief Description
A vacancy has arisen for a close protection driver to join the current pool of chauffeurs supporting the Governors and Senior Executive team. The jobholder will be required to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the role in accordance with current chauffeur guidelines.


The main responsibilities are to:
Provide a professional, safe and secure driving experience for the Governors and Senior Executives.
Maintain a high level of security awareness whilst delivering excellent customer service at all times.
Provide security operational cover as directed

Job Requirements
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of competency, hold relevant qualifications, evidence training and comply with the requirements set out below:
Full driving license and a recognised advance driving qualification.
Strong team player, willing to support colleagues and have a flexible approach to work requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good IT literacy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
Ability to dynamically assess working environments and react accordingly.
Recognised first aid qualification.
Evidence of close protection driving skillsets and high level security awareness e.g. defensive driving techniques, route recces, embus/debus drills, surveillance awareness and detection, escort driving drills and reaction-to-attack awareness.
The job is a 45 hour, five day week, however it should be acknowledged that to accommodate the working patterns of the Governors and the Senior Executives, a flexible approach to start and finish times is required. The jobholder will be expected to cover this role on a rota basis and weekend work is a possibility. It is possible that certain jobs may require working away from home within the UK.
