Olive requires a part-time analyst to join its expanding advisory team, producing high quality aviation security reports for an important client. This role will immerse the successful candidate into the operations of a US$1Bn group, across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia offering an excellent opportunity to gain analysis experience, increase business knowledge and build a broad range of commercial skills.


MISSION
This role is in direct support of a client project. The role is shift specific, working flexible hours for three to four days per week, including weekend work.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Work within a team to support the delivery of daily reports on the security and aviation security situation in Iraq and Yemen & Afghanistan, on a weekly basis.
Deliver international political and security briefs to executive level on request.
Update databases collating security information
Communication:
Excellent written & oral ability,
Active information gathering and research skills,
Able to communicate complex ideas concisely,
Strong IT skills esp. Excel, PPT and presentation skills
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
Analytical & Interpretation skills.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Knowledge and understanding of major political and security issues facing the Middle East.
Proficiency in Arabic.
Bachelor’s degree in International Politics/Relations, Middle/Near Eastern Studies or other relevant subject. First class honours (1st) or Second class honours, upper division (2:1).
Detailed knowledge of security issues facing Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan.
Evidence of previous work/research and demonstrable interest in/understanding of Middle East.


Preferred
Previous experience within the aviation security, risk management or advisory sectors.
Aviation security management qualification.
Masters’ degree in relevant discipline.
Practical experience of research, work or residency within the Middle East or Africa.
