MVM, Inc. is currently building a pool of qualified applicants for the position of Unarmed Security and Custody Officer on an as needed basis in Guantanamo Bay Naval Station, Cuba.
Job Description
In the role of the Unarmed Security and Custody Officer, you will provide for the care and custody of the migrant population in accordance with the performance requirements of the contract. In addition, you may be responsible for coordinating recreational activities as well as the health and safety program for the non-protected population.
Qualifications and requirements:
Must be a United States Citizen who has resided in the United States for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Must possess a valid US Passport;
Must be 21 years of age;
High school diploma;
A minimum of 1 year experience in a public or private security, law enforcement or U.S. Military related field;
Must have a valid Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration;
Possess strong verbal and written English communication skills;
Appicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements which include:
A favorable credit check
No Felony Conviction or Multiple Misdemeanor Convictions
No prior drug use
Must have a minimum one year of general experience that demonstrates the following:
The ability to greet the public and deal tactfully with the general public;
Capable of understanding and applying written and verbal orders, rules and regulation provided in English;
Must be literate and able to fully communicate and interpret written rules, regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials in English; and be able to compose reports;
Requires good judgment, courage, alertness, an even temperament, and an ability to render satisfactory performance thorough knowledge of his/her position responsibilities; and
Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress.
