Main Responsibility
Internal: The Security officers in charge of all security department activities and operations during their shifts.
External: Hotel guests, residents, vendors, and subcontractors; local Authorities, Law Enforcement, Police, Civil Defense or their representative;
General:
In general, maintains the policies, procedures and objectives laid out in all EMAAR Hospitality Group such as handbooks, training materials, memorandums in accordance with the directives of the Corporate Director, EMAAR Security Group as well as the UAE Rules and Regulations.
Investigates all incidents occurring on their shift or duly assigned.
To maintain a safe environment, maintaining the peace, and report/act on any actual violations of local, county, or municipal code, as well as any violation of EMAAR Policy & Procedures.
Conducting inspections of the property and consigns the same to an appropriate record and report it to the superiors on duty. The inspection should follow the corporate guidelines and meet all the state and local requirements pertinent to potential or actual hazards or codified violations.
Coordinates protection details and security arrangements for VIPs and events.
Collects and administrates the logging of all Lost & Found items turned into the Security Department, storing it in a timely matter.
Issues and records the issuance of keys to various departments.
Acts as dispatcher and observes surveillance monitors and patrol the premises.
Answering the phone calls as per the set standard and perform daily office works such as, but not limited to, filing, copying, computer data entry, office cleanliness etc.
Monitors and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
Patrols assigned areas on foot, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates, then record all the findings.
Responds to alarms and dispatched calls, decides what actions to take based on situation as per the EHG-Security SOP’s.
Keeping good records related to traffic in and out of the build or facility, records related to security procedures, and records related to incident reports.

Special Cases
Due to the nature of work in the security department all security are expected to be on standby basis when required for the job and to answer any phone calls and immediately respond to mobile text messages or all calls that missed as soon as seen.
