Main purpose of job:

Security Manager for the British House during the Paralympics Games. The lead security official for oversight of security provisions. He/She will effectively be the key security liaison point for all security related matters. Responsibilities will include managing the guarding team, liaison with local authorities and managing security protocols for large VIP events planned for the Paralympics period.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Liaison with our event management company to ensure that minimum level of Physical Security is in place around the GB House when formally open for business
Liaison with all partners of the House over schedule of events and providing recommendations for minimum security measures for both House
Ensuring that access control, deliveries, search and screening, and VIP close protection protocols are in place operationally
Advise/ instruct the guarding teams on duty on their daily duties/minimum tasking
Ensure adequate communications are maintained on security at the house to relevant stakeholders
Be the initial point of contact for Incident Management at the house liasing with senior Security leads as necessary


Essential qualifications and experience
Must have relevant experience in a security environment: Police/Military/Corporate Security. They must be bilingual in English and Portuguese with strong oral and written communication skills
