Job purpose and key deliverables
Focus
Develop and maintain effective security / fire management system to ensure people, assets, vital information and operational activities of BATB installations at Eastern area are protected.
Leverage understanding of law enforcing agencies to support safe running of leaf and marketing activities and mitigate contingencies.
Key Accountabilities
Business Result (Operational / Technical / Professional Results)
Develop and maintain measures to ensure security of personnel and assets at warehouses, TM&D offices, FG Depots, and entire eastern area.
Develop / monitor fire prevention system and procedures for evacuation.
Assist Anti-Illicit Trade Task Force to defeat /deter Anti-Illicit Trade of own brands.
Develop all (permanent & Contractual) security personnel through appropriate security/fire training to be able to apply BATB Security Policies & procedures.
Provide advises to distributors on depot / distribution/ cash handling security and assist in emergency major security breach.
Ensure appropriate level of administrative and logistics back up of security personnel to retain operational efficiency
Assess monitor and review performance of physical / electronic/ procedural security and fire protection system of assigned leaf warehouses / FG depots.
Assess, evaluate, plan and arrange third party security and fire services. Monitor the effectiveness of contractual services and review service scopes
Forecast security budget accurately and manage accordingly.
People Results
Establish and maintain liaison with Civil Administration, Armed Forces, all relevant law enforcing and intelligence agencies to ensure effective support of business operations and mitigate crisis.
Support other departments in executing conducting internal and external events related to promotional / leaf buying activities / other event management
Liaison with Fire service & Civil Defence for improved support in fire management system.
Liaison with Professional Security Service/ Product providers to monitor current trends and developments, cost effective cutting edge solutions for BATB security.
Continually seek opportunities to innovative and increase efficiency on security measures for distribution networks
Improve security system and work processes to achieve synergy with leaf and marketing activities.
Predict and identify security trends / developments and recommend capitalising in the most cost effective way. Focus

Essential requirements
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of security management preferably in military context.
Graduate with relevant professional training, certificate and experience.
Ability to effectively deal with stress and mitigate security / safety crisis.
Ability to develop and plan clear goals consistent with agreed strategies including contingencies.
Possess strong managerial / leadership skills. Sound analytical ability in respect to complex issues and implementation of action plans.
Excellent communications skills with ability to explain and defend difficult issues with respect to key decisions/ complex concepts
Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor work of others
Good technological awareness on electronic security equipments, communication system, explosives and other sophisticated devices applied in modern security system. Conversant with most commonly used computer applications.
Good interpersonal skills to develop teamwork. Be able to maintain effective working relations with people of different backgrounds and culture.
Committed to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions as well as establish effective relationships with outside stakeholders.
Good judgment and initiative. Ability to manage and coordinate many different activities / operations.
