Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs)

Location: OCONUS

Current seeking applicants for OCONUS positions, locations unknown.

Clearance Statement: Applicants selected for this position must possess a Final Top Secret Security Clearance (eligible to receive a DOS reciprocal Top Secret clearance).
Applicant will be subjected to a government security investigation.
Applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Only US citizens are eligible for this position.

Because these are national security positions, candidates for these positions must meet certain stringent requirements:

Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor un-cleared workers during designated phases of construction
X-ray and inspect material, equipment and furnishings designated for use within Controlled Access Areas of the construction site
Inspect random materials required for construction and installation in the Controlled Access Area and areas contiguous to the Controlled Access Area.
Ability to read and analyze construction drawings/blueprints (pre-test administered by Diplomatic Security)
Able to learn the principles of all construction disciplines, to include Civil, Architectural, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering
Capable of reading and analyzing designs and blueprints, and recognizing the architect’s intended use
Capable of analyzing designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not wanted by the architect
Possess knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles and devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance

CSTs must possess at least 5 years experience in one or more of the following categories:
Construction Security Surveillance
Technical Surveillance Countermeasures
Industrial or Government security involving counterintelligence
Construction Quality Assurance
Hands-on supervisory construction experience

Preferred Experience:
USMC Marine Security Guard (CAG positions)
U.S. Navy Seabee
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers construction training
Trade certification (e.g. Certified Electrician)

In addition to the specialized skills and experience, CSTs and CAGs must:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be 21 years or older
Possess a valid US Driver's License and US passport;
Must Have a High School Diploma or GED
Must read, write, speak English fluently
Must meet certain medical and physical fitness requirements
Prior Military personnel must possess an Honorable Discharge from the Armed Forces
