NFPA Fire and Life Safety in Healthcare Occupancies training an asset
Ontario Private Security & Investigative Services, Security Guard License
3+ years of related experience. Security experience in health care environment an asset
Two year community college Law & Security or Police Foundations diploma an asset
Completion of Non-violent Crisis Intervention Course
Ability to provide strong leadership with at least 3 years of recent experience in a similar unionized setting
Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and lead a team of security officers
Above average interpersonal skills and written communication and presentation skills
Fire Marshals Fire Safety Program for Employees of Care and Treatment Facilities an asset
Excellent computer knowledge, Microsoft office suite

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Security Supervisor located in downtown Toronto. This position plays a critical role in overseeing, guiding and directing a team of up to 13 as well as advocate for safety,demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe and secure environment.
Security Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the department with:
Develop and monitor protective and preventative security systems and programs
Responsible for all surveillance, access control, key control and ID system
Develop and implement training procedures and strategies for security team
Manage security officer's daily activities, schedules and performance
Ensure documentation of inspections is complete and accurate; generate reports, export footage and follow up with appropriate personnel to rectify all issues. Reviews security reports to determine follow up action if required
Will participate as a member of the Emergency Preparedness Committee
Assisting with Fire and Life Safety responsibilities including but not limited to fires drills, fire plans and training
All other duties as required
