Job Purpose

Under the guidance and supervision of the Team Leaders they are responsible for participating in the processes and activities required maintaining the security and safety of The Meydan Hotel property, colleagues and guests.

Main Duties
Follows all Meydan Hotels & Hospitality Policies & Procedures related to Security and
Safety at all times.
Assists to protect TMH property, colleagues and guests by observing and reporting any suspicious activities to the proper authorities for follow up.
Carries out Foot and Vehicle Patrols, Access Control, Control of Keys, Emergency Respond and Notification, Public Relations
Escalates all concerns in relation to Fire, Life & Safety issues to the Asst. Security Manager or Team Leader.

Operational

Whilst on duty at the Central Security Control Room, is responsible for:
Monitoring of the C.C.T.V. system, fire alarm panel, emergency telephone, elevator control monitor, and emergency lighting control monitor
Maintaining files and cleanliness of the Security Control Room.
Acknowledging the fire signal and making sure that it will be properly relayed to the Security Team Leader or Assistant for investigation purposes.
Restricts Control Room access to the authorized personnel.

Whilst on duty at the Time Keepers Office, is responsible for:
Lost and found enquiries
Safe custody of the lost and found items
Issuing metal and electronic keys
Maintaining key register, daily cash float and envelope dropping
Interaction with the other departments and colleagues as required
Cleanliness of the security time office and the maintenance of the records.

Whilst on duty at the colleague access point, is responsible for:
Controlling the access of the contractors and outside visitors to the Hotel premises by screening and issuance of the security passes and visitor’s passes.
Checking the belongings of the colleague’s, visitors and contractors accessing and exiting the premises via the colleague check point
Ensuring that all hotel properties being removed from the premises is covered by the appropriate property removal authorization receipt
Cleanliness of the area and the maintaining of the records.

Whilst on duty at the receiving area, is responsible for:
Issuing the suppliers passes to the different suppliers of the Resort with regards to the delivery of the goods to the responsible departments
Ensuring the smooth flow of the traffic at the loading bay tunnel
Checking of the linen delivery and its removal from the premises
Handling the master key for the laundry delivery vehicle and ensuring its safe custody
Ensuring that Hotel properties being removed from the premises are covered by the appropriate property removal authorization receipt.

Whilst on duty at the hotel lobby, is responsible for:
Controlling access to the main guest lifts
Preventing unauthorized visitors going to the guest rooms
Directing the guests to the outlets and interaction with the guest’s requirements
Protecting any Hotel property from being removed without a valid “Property Removal Form”

Whilst on duty at the main entrance of the hotel,
Is responsible for controlling the traffic movements and minimizing congestion by preventing people parking cars at the main entrance of the hotel for an extended period of time

Administration
Makes necessary entries in Security logbooks and registers on a daily basis, ensuring information is useful and detailed.

Financial
Reduces waste and expenditure wherever possible without adverse impact to the guest.

Other Duties
Advises the Team Leader/ Assistant Manager if Standard Operating Procedures require updating.
Performs all other related duties as directed by Management.
