Description:

NCI Agency is looking for a Security Professional Guard with a background in police/security area across a 24/7 Shift pattern. If you have experience in protection of personnel, buildings and property, this position is for you!

Role responsibilities:

General Services operates with three different business models – provision of services to the NCI Agency, delivery of services from GS to 3rd parties (shared services) and management of service delivery from 3rd parties to the NCI Agency.

General Services is an organization pulling together the general services for the NCI Agency and is responsible for providing general protective security and force protection (FP), including the armed protection of Agency personnel, buildings and property, within the NCI Agency site in The Hague.

Your main duties will be:
Implementing 24 hour armed control of entry to the NCI Agency compound and the main building and associated facilities;
Protecting the NCI Agency personnel, contractors and NATO classified material from harm or loss;
Undertaking armed internal and external patrol activities within the NCI Agency buildings and compound;
Ensuring that order is maintained throughout the NCI Agency The Hague site;
Monitor, action and provide written reports on all Security Alarm activations;
Monitoring communication systems including responding to external enquiries;
Provide oral and written reports on any security incidents/occurrences;
Undertake on-the-job training (OJT), including exercise scenarios, under the direction of the nominated Shift Leader or his deputy;
Undertaking personal initial and refresher professional training as necessary (First Aid, Fire-Fighting, Bomb Search, Shooting, X-Ray);
Working day and night shift roster as required;
Perform other duties as may be required.
Other duties:
You may be appointed as a Deputy Shift Leader and will be responsible to coordinate and cooperate with other staff.

Qualifications required


We are looking for a candidate with good general education and will preferably have knowledge of the NATO security regulations and procedures.

Experience required:

In addition to 2 years' of experience with police/security background, you will also have:
Good standard of physical fitness, appearance and bearing;
Knowledge of Personal Computers and Office Automation;
Ability to write short reports in English.

Knowledge of the NATO security regulations and procedures will be considered as an advantage.

Travel:

You may be required to undertake duty travel to operational theatres inside and outside NATO boundaries.

Language skills:

Most of the work of the NCI Agency is conducted in the English language, and therefore a thorough knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential. Knowledge of Dutch is desirable.
