The core of this role is to define, cascade and lead Etihad’s security strategy and objectives to ensure protection of Etihad’s guests, personnel, properties and compliance with governmental regulations.

Job Requirements:  
Strategy
Define and cascade the Function/Department strategy to ensure the alignment with Company's strategy
Policies and Procedures
Define and cascade policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/ regulatory/legislative requirements are fulfilled
Budget Management
Develop and cascade Function/Department budget , and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment
People development
Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize performance
Safety, Quality & Environment
Comply with all relevant safety, security, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Specific Responsibilities:
Hold the ultimate responsibility for all activities carried out by security functions to ensure their compliance with internal / external regulations
Report to top management on security related KPIs to provide Etihad’s C-Level effective overview and insights
Advice top management on latest security management updates and key decisions to ensure adoption of best practice security procedures
Define, cascade and monitor security strategic plan and guidelines adoption across the organization to ensure compliance with security regulations
Review, approve and prioritize security related projects to ensure their consistency with Etihad’s objectives
Agree and develop with senior managers training and development programs to ensure skills development of security employees
Manage stakeholder relationships within Etihad and its equity partners to identify potential synergy opportunities for improved security management
Manage stakeholder relationships with governmental bodies to ensure effective collaboration
Operate as the focal point of contact for crisis management to ensure timely resolution
Liaise with top management and Communications function to properly manage communications in case of major crisis
Lead, coach and provide informal / formal feedback to senior management team to ensure development of technical and soft skills


Education & Experience: 
Minimum Diploma (2 years or more).
Minimum of 15 years of experience within relevant field, Previous experience in Armed forces / Police / Labour relations / Commercial Security is an advantage.
