Duties and Responsibilities of the Firearms Range Manager:
Conducts and supervises all opening and closing procedures for the range as described in Client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in compliance with posted General Range Rules;
Conducts range inspections on a daily basis to include exterior and interior spaces with specific attention to range safety equipment ensuring they are maintained in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) maintenance manuals;
Documents and initiates corrective action on any deficiencies noted in inspections;
Will suspend operation of the range in the event of any deficiency that, without mitigation, will endanger the health and safety of range users or operators;
Complies with all Client policies, procedures, regulations and standards, including Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA) standards;
Supervises operation of the Client facility, ensuring, compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards and regulations;
Supervises scheduling, preparation, and documentation of range use, as well as ensuring security of range when not in use;
Conducts and supervises contract personnel in the OEM required maintenance of the major systems of the training range as stated in the OEM user manuals and the Range SOP;
Maintains historical records, logs and schedules to document range use, maintenance, and availability to all stakeholders;
Maintains relationships with the manufacturer of range systems as well as vendors and applicable Client divisions and personnel for ongoing supplies in order to maintain continued safe operation of the range;
Ensures sufficient consumables including; lubricants, cleaning supplies, emergency medical gear, and safety equipment are available to ensure continuous range operations;
Serves as the Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO), ensuring that all range users read and comply with all Range Rules and the Range SOP.

Experience and Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Military, Law Enforcement, or Private Security Firearms Instructor;
Three years of experience as a Range Safety Officer or CRSO;
Five years of supervisory experience in a US Military or Law Enforcement setting;
Three years of experience in contract management;
Shall successfully complete and maintain current Client certifications;
Shall maintain qualification on the following weapons; M4 Carbine to include iron sights, ACOG, EoTech, ANPEQ2, Glock 19 Pistol, M870 Shotgun, M249 Squad Automatic Weapon and M240 Medium Machine Gun;
Possess and maintain OSHA and/or EPA certification in HAZMAT;
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
