Job Description 
The British Embassy in Oslo is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. We are looking for an enthusiastic team-player to join us as Security Guard.

Main Purpose Of Job:  

Duties include ensuring the physical security of the Embassy, including that of its staff, visitors and assets; securing the Embassy compound and its buildings, and carrying out regular security sweeps.

Roles & Responsibilites:  
Static duties from the guard house: Duties include acting as first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries; control of entry and exit for visitors; monitoring CCTV and security systems.

Mobile Duties: Duties include patrolling the Embassy compound and its perimeter; carrying out security checks on visitors and vehicles entering the Embassy compound.
Essential qualifications and experience
•Minimum two years of police, military or security background;
•Able to successfully undergo a rigorous background check;
•Able to communicate (oral and written) in Norwegian and English and communicate with members of the public in person and by telephone courteously;
•Smart, presentable appearance;
•Full, valid driving licence.

Additional information
This is a full-time contract for 5 working days (currently 35 hours net) per week. Shift-work is involved.
