Regional Security Manager Germany and Austria

Frankfurt, Germany

The Regional Security Manager is responsible for the oversight and delivery of travel security consulting services in conjunction with regional and global peers; operational delivery of security advice and assistance to clients in West Africa, the Maghreb, across Europe and CIS; and business development support to International SOS and Control Risks distribution channels in Germany and Austria, to drive customer satisfaction and profitable growth.



Key responsibilities:
Support client retention through engagement with strategic client security managers to drive utilisation; by becoming a trusted advisor.
Support the growth of the security business for both Intl.SOS and Control Risks in Germany and Austria by:
engaging with Intl.SOS and Control Risks business development teams for significant new business or renewal opportunities.
identifying opportunities for both Intl.SOS and Control Risks.
supporting Intl.SOS and CR marketing activities (speaking events, webinars, lunches etc) as a specialist / expert.
Working closely with Europe RSC counterparts and Intl.SOS and Control Risks business development teams in Europe on cross border business
Provide local market, customer and competitor insight.
Deliver security awareness training, evacuation planning and travel risk management consulting tasks across the region.
For the largest region in the organization, covering West Africa, the Maghreb, Europe and CIS:
Join the duty roster of the Regional Security Centre, including out-of-hours.
Manage travel security cases to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Maintain awareness of the regional security situation.
Integrate into the Regional Security Centre to manage operational crises and evacuations.
Contribute to maintaining country evacuation plans and the operational preparedness of the Regional Security Centre.
Contribute to building a network of high quality security service providers throughout the region, working closely with regional Control Risks offices and the Global Assistance Network teams in Intl SOS.



Qualifications and skills required:
Degree (or relevant professional training) in a field related to security or international relations studies.
Experience of security operations management and / or analysis: in military, government or private sector roles
Experience within the region, including relevant language skills, work experience and extensive independent travel.
International work and travel experience.
Training delivery experience.
Native German, Fluent English (written and spoken).
Working knowledge of French, Italian, or Russian would be a distinct advantage.
Business development and/or consultancy experience.
Effective communication skills, report writing and strong influencing skills.
Risk Management or Crisis management expertise.
Commercial consulting experience ideally in training, security consulting or related disciplines.
Accredited as a Certified Protection Professional by the American Society of Industrial Security or similar industry body.
