Loss Prevention Officer

Security Duties:
The Loss Prevention team is wholly focused on supporting and enabling the achievement of both creative and commercial objectives. They are committed to protecting Burberry’s brand values, quality of service, reputation and assets and delivering expert insight and analysis in a fast moving, innovative and ever evolving environment. The purpose of the Loss Prevention officer is to protect the brand and all company and store resources, to prevent the loss or damage to company assets.

Security Resonsibilities:
1. Customer Service

Embody all aspects of the “Burberry Experience” by delivering excellent customer service and displaying brand values whilst carrying out your role.
Identify store opportunities and work with management to resolve.
Be involved and contribute in team meetings, communicating effectively with staff, management and customers.
Create a positive image of Loss Prevention and the Company at all times; maintaining the highest standards of grooming, courtesy, professionalism and personal conduct in accordance with the Burberry values.
Be available to work weekends, public holidays and adapt shift patterns. Occasional night cover may also be required.

2. External Threats
Minimise losses by conducting regular shop floor patrols, identifying and mitigating risks.
Maintain the highest standard of security within the store, monitoring all security systems and responding efficiently to any suspicious activity, alarm activations or malfunctions. Raising any issues to regional Loss Prevention for resolution.

3. Internal Threats
Efficiently maintain all security related documentation and ensure security procedures are followed. This includes, ensuring incidents are reported to Rivo (Incident Reporting System).

4. Process Compliance
Support the store in delivering stocktakes, sharing best practice with teams.
Support with the communication of key security themes, under the direction of Regional Loss Prevention.

PERSONAL PROFILE
Ability to work with highly confidential information
Problem Solving & Decision Skills
Luxury retail experience and first aid trained (optional)
Awareness of challenges within a luxury retail environment
Excellent communication skills
Passion for customer service
