The Construction Security Guard position is an entry level full-time, non-exempt, unarmed position responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the assigned construction site and issuing badges to authorized personnel. This position reports to the HSSI Iwakuni Site Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have good customer service skills including a friendly, helpful attitude.
Must possess the skill and ability to read, write and converse clearly in English
Must be physically fit and capable of handling the physical requirements of the position
Must successfully complete any required training and be able to follow directions
Must be able to maintain confidentiality pertaining to work site operations so as not to cause a breach in installation security or interrupt continuity of operations

Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
May be required to successfully pass a psychological evaluation
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must successfully pass an initial pre-employment physical and drug screening and periodic follow-up testing
Must successfully complete a background check; must have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on individual’s reliability
Must be Lautenberg compliant
Must possess a valid driver’s license to enable gaining a SOFA license
Must be 21 years of age, or be an honorably discharged veteran
May be required to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI); must be able to obtain and/or if applied for at any time, have never been denied a US SECRET security clearance for any reason reflecting adverse personal information
Must be CPR for First Responders and Basic First Aid certified prior to employment
Must have 20/20 correctable vision in each eye; be able to hear the conversational voice and distinguish basic colors
