Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities)
Security Manager for the British Houses during the Olympics and Paralympics Games. The lead security official for oversight of security provisions at both houses. He/She will effectively be the key security liaison point for all security related matters. Responsibilities will include managing the guarding team, liaison with local authorities and managing security protocols for large VIP events planned for the Olympics and Paralympics period.
Liaison with our event management company to ensure that minimum level of Physical Security is in place around the GB houses when formally open for business
Liaison with all partners of the Houses over schedule of events and providing recommendations for minimum security measures for both Houses
Ensuring that access control, deliveries, seatch and screening, and VIP close protection protocols are in place operationally for both houses
Advise/instruct the guarding teams on duty for both houses on their daily duties/minimum tasking
Ensure adequate communications are maintained on security at both houses to relevant stakeholders
Be the initial point of contact for Incident Management at both houses liasing with senior Security leads as necessary
Essential qualifications and experience
Must have relevant experience in a security environment: Police/Military/Corporate Security.

Desirable qualifications and experience
IT skills, Event management experience, Excellent local knowledge of Rio and its transport infrastructure
