Senior Law Enforcement Advisor , Mali (Africa)

Responsibilities & Duties

ICITAP is a law enforcement development organization whose mission is to work with foreign governments to develop effective, professional, and transparent law enforcement capacity that protects human rights, combats corruption, and reduces the threat of transnational crime and terrorism, in support of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives.
Conduct an initial assessment of the Mali National Police.
Selected candidate will work with key stakeholders in helping to develop the National Police institutional capability to provide relevant and accountable service.
Build relationships with other donors, including the EU, UN and France to develop working relationships.
Mentor and provide targeted training to assist the National Police develop and improve policies and procedures in many key areas.

This position is located in Mali. 

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
20 years and Master’s degree.
At least 5 years management experience.
Experience as a teacher, trainer or advisor on criminal justice agency development programs.
Experience advising executives at state or federal level on law enforcement policies.
Trainer/mentor experience in anti-corruption cases, as well as internal affairs.
The described requirements may be substituted by additional years of law enforcement and/or international criminal justice program development and/or training experience.
Must speak French fluently
Must be able to obtain a US Government Security Clearance (Public Trust) prior to deployment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
